SANDF distances itself from a coup claims [VIDEO]

The South African National Defence Force(SANDF) has distanced itself from plans of removing President Cyril Ramaphosa from office. This comes after a viral video of a former navy commander Sylvester Mangolele, demanded Ramaphosa to report to the training college in Gordan’s Bay in the Western Cape to submit his resignation. The video, created on New Year’s Day, threated the President to appear before Mangolele within 48 hours or face military actions. In a statement, the SANDF has condemed Mangolele utterances and distanced itself from the statements made. It also revealed that Mangolele was fired from army in 2018 and therefore does not have authority to speak on behalf of the SANDF.
