‘Only action will fix South Africa,’ says ActionSA leader Mashaba

“Only action will fix South Africa,” says Herman Mashaba the leader and founder of ActionSA political party.

He says South Africa’s failing state institutions which have been plagued by cadre deployment, corruption and financial
mismanagement, can be saved only through the successful implementation of ActionSA’s plans to fix the country.

PROFESSIONALISE THE PUBLIC SERVICE – MASHABA

“ActionSA will implement the necessary solutions to professionalise the public service and improve the functioning of state institutions. Quality service delivery can be achieved by ensuring that a capable and politically independent public service advances the interests of South Africans,” said Mashaba during the party’s election manifesto launch for the 2024 national and provincial elections.

Mashaba said if voted into power by the masses on 29 May, ActionSA will establish a culture of leadership excellence and service in public service by adopting high standards based on the values of education, professionalism, and ethical leadership.

He says they will modernise government practices will to improve the delivery of government services to be more technology based for the benefit of citizens.

“We will implement e-governance measures that allow citizens to conduct most of their business with the government through online platforms and serviced customer centers,” the former Johannesburg mayor said from the Ellis Park Indoor Arena in Johannesburg on Saturday.

‘OUR PLANS ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR CAPACITY TO EXECUTE THEM’

Mashaba said it was not right that South Africans still faced inequality, rising unemployment, rolling blackouts, violent crime, brazen corruption, and poor service delivery thirty years into democracy.

He said ActionSA’s plan will unlock millions of new jobs, safer communities, secured borders, access to quality education and healthcare for all, and for the first time, the inclusive empowerment of all previously disadvantaged South Africans.

The former businessman who turned to politics said unveiling the party’s 2024 election manifesto signified a historic milestone for ActionSA’s mission to fix the country.

“It is the culmination of over three years of engagement with the South African people because we believe that by tapping into
the lived experiences of South Africans, we can ensure that our plans align with our capacity to execute them, rather than producing mere aspirational documents,” Mashaba said.
