In an interview with SABC, the  KZN MK head of elections Musa Mkhize stated that Zuma’s car was being targeted.

“What happened last night I must say that is something we were waiting for. It has happened because the president was warned that come before the election, he will be lying in the hospital. We don’t know what more is still coming,” said Mkhize.

Zuma barred from 29 May elections

On Thursday the Electoral committee barred Zuma from being part of the 29 May elections because of his criminal record.
