Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns monitoring Swallows star?

With the great uncertainty that surrounds the future of Moroka Swallows, some of their players could jump ship.

For some, it will send the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns on high alert.

All three of Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns are believed to be competing in the same market for quality players. This in an attempt to boost their respective squads, in order to be able to compete on all fronts. All three clubs have already been linked with the same names. The likes Iqraam Rayners, Tshepang Moremi, Elias Mokwana and Kegan Johannes to name but a few.

Now according to KickOff.com, there could be a new name added to the list. It is thought that Swallows midfielder Lindokuhle Mtshali could also be on the radar of Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns.

Mtshali attracting Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns?

“A Moroka Swallows star midfielder could be on the radar of the big teams in Gauteng – Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, among others – after a big hint by his agency. Although most players who impressed for Swallows this past season would naturally be searching for opportunities elsewhere, following the uncertainty brought about by the club’s sale rumours, Lindokuhle Mtshali would not be bound by any contract.” Wrote the publication.

To add further fuel to the fire, Mtshali’s agent Mike Makaab confirmed that there is interest in him in Gauteng.

“Yes, there are [clubs that are interested]. We’re busy talking to a number of clubs at the moment. We’re confident that within a week or so that we will start serious negotiations with one of those clubs. In Gauteng, yes.” Said Makaab to the same publication.

What is his best option?

Pirates have already signed two midfielders in Thalente Mbatha and Selaelo Rasebotja, while Sundowns already have a Bafana-laden midfield. Chiefs on the other hand, could be releasing three midfielders in Siyethemba Sithebe, George Matlou and Samkelo Zwane on loan. What is the best option for Mtshali?
