Kaizer Chiefs talking to Belgian and Dutch teams!

It’s promising to the an exciting pre-season for Kaizer Chiefs supporters. Amakhosi are seemingly set to travel to Europe to prepare for next season.

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are consulting the incoming coach Nasreddine Nabi on which European destinations to visit.

“The plans are there. The talks and negotiations with the teams in Belgium and Holland are ongoing. Management is now just waiting on the coach to approve where they should actually go. Negotiations with the clubs to play against and use their facilities are ongoing.

“I don’t think it will be just everyone going there. They will see by that time which technical team member or player is going. That’s why they (Chiefs) are waiting for the coach to approve the trio first and look at who will be on that tour. But they are working on going to either the Netherlands or Belgium for this off season training,” the source added.

The latest transfer window is coming. Expectations are on Kaizer Chiefs to make big statements with new players and a new head coach.

Many pundits said it a while ago. Amakhosi can’t win games and trophies without a goalscorer. Ranga Chivaviro arrived last season but faced too many injuries to change Kaizer Chiefs’ fortunes. The the 25-year-old Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez later arrived but was just not good enough for the DStv Premiership.

According to new reports, Kaizer Chiefs have found two targets. Incoming coach Nasreddine Nabi has recommended the Motswana international Tumisang Orebonye who has scored four goals in 15 goals for AS Rabat in Morocco.

Additionally, hot reports are claiming that Kaizer Chiefs are progressing in talks to sign Bafana Bafana’s Lebogang Mothiba. The 28-year-old burly center forward is a free agent after leaving French Lig 1 side Strasbourg.

In coaching news, Amakhosi have reportedly secured French coach Fernando Da Cruz as a free agent to assist Nasreddine Nabi. The 51-year-old is set to arrive in Johannesburg this week to begin pre-season as Nabi’s assistant coach.

“Da Cruz is now expected to arrive in Johannesburg this week to begin to lay the groundwork for incoming coach Nasreddine Nabi,” SABC Sports’ Mazola Molefe reported.
