Kaizer Chiefs will ‘break the bank’ for Bafana Bafana trickster

Kaizer Chiefs have several exciting attacking targets. One of them is a tricky Bafana winger who makes defenders dizzy.

Kaizer Chiefs chase Appollis

Soccer-Laduma reports that Chiefs want to sign Polokwane and Bafana winger Oswin Appollis. The 22-year-old got six goals and three assists in 29 league appearances last term.

“Soccer-Laduma understands that Polokwane City midfielder Oswin Appollis is high on the list of players Kaizer Chiefs are pursuing for next season. This gives an opportunity for City to cashing on the player and Amakhosi are willing to spend big to have the player in their squad for next season, the Siya crew understands” wrote the publication.

Shock striker target for Amakhosi?

According to the rumour mill on X, Bafana Bafana duo Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana are players Nasreddine Nabi would love to collaborate with at Naturena. Meanwhile, a surprise name has also emerged in the shape of Golden Arrows striker Lungelo Nguse. The 25-year-old bagged a respectable six goals from 24 league appearances last term. Nguse hasn’t yet been capped by Bafana but his chances would climb exponentially with a move to a ‘Big Three’ club. If he kept up his current scoring ratio that wouldn’t hurt either.

The ever-impressive Stellenbosch star Iqraam Rayners bagged 15 goals in the league last term and is now a reliable regular for the national team. Meanwhile, Lebo Mothiba Lebo Mothiba is no longer a Strasbourg player after his six-year stint with the Alsace club came to an end. Soccer-Laduma believes negotiations between Mothiba’s representatives and Kaizer Chiefs are moving along nicely; the player was even spotted at Naturena. Mothiba has 14 caps for South Africa and four goals. His last appearance in national colours was in October 2023.

Did you know? Mothiba scored in his first three matches for Bafana. He’s the only player ever to do so.
