Police go after truck driver ‘responsible’ for Shebeshxt’s accident

Speaking to the media, Shebeshxt’s lawyer and family spokesperson, Lot Ramusi, gave an update on the star’s condition and shed more light on the fatal accident.

According to reports, the accident occurred on the R37 road near Smelters Mine outside Polokwane, not far from Chuene.

Reports have it that the Limpopo star was driving from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo, where he wanted to drop off his daughter and her mother before he proceeded to ANC’s Siyabonga rally, where he was booked to perform.

However, he didn’t make it after allegedly colliding with a truck. This is the star’s second fatal accident in less than six months.

Earlier this year, he was involved in a near-fatal accident near Polokwane in January. However, Shebeshxt’s lawyer has it that the police have opened a case against the truck driver involved in an accident with Shebeshxt.

He revealed the news in a now-viral clip. Since it was posted on the internet, the video has undoubtedly gained thousands of comments and reactions. However, the police are yet to give a detailed update on Shebeshxt’s accident.

The lawyer also downplayed reports that the star had his leg amputated after the accident. The news made rounds after the rapper’s mother confirmed that the star had suffered a broken leg. She also revealed that he had abdominal and head injuries.

Speaking to The South African earlier this week, Shebeshxt’s lawyer confirmed that he has not lost his leg or foot, as tabloids alleged. Sunday World reports that Shebeshxt had a string of surgeries following the fatal accident that claimed his daughter.

Despite many calling out the star for speeding and reckless driving, several prophets warned the star about people trying to take his life. Earlier this year, a popular sangoma, Mkhulu Qheba, warned the rapper to be careful.

He claimed that he saw a vision of a woman putting muti in Shebeshxt’s food while he was at a gig in Vaal. However, against his claims, another “prophet” urged fans to pray for him. The prophet revealed that “there are people who are after his life” because of a deal he would sign.

However, against the prophecies, Shebeshxt seemingly made it known that there are people after him. A few days after his first accident, the rapper posted, “They hired people to kill me. Pray for me.”

Before his thrust into the limelight, Shebeshxt was involved in crime.

“Honestly, I stopped doing crime. I used to do it to feed my child. I didn’t steal cars. However, I used to go where others couldn’t. Honestly, I wanted money. I could enter a store and shoplift with a gun or knife. I would carry big knives. It wasn’t only shoplifting. I stole things. I mugged people, I had a lot of phones,” he said during an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG.
