Pitso Mosimane and Robert Marawa bury the hatchet

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and sportscaster Robert Marawa have finally buried the hatchet.

The feud between the two goes back to 2012 when Mosimane was still the Bafana Bafana coach. On Friday, Mosimane and Marawa settled their differences aside. Speaking on the Marawa Sports Worldwide on 947, Marawa revealed the duo had not spoken on mediums for many years.

“You and I have not spoken on mediums like this for many years. People have always been asking why we were not talking,” he said

“I can tell South Africans that we have had a meeting today and have discussed our issues. I’m glad to say we have been adults, we have communicated and we have agreed to move on.”

“As I told you I’m turning 60 years old in July and I have looked back and decided that because you reached out and invited me to your show, it shows leadership, not weakness,” Mosimane said on Marawa’s show.

“I have to be humble, I have learned to let go of things, I have to show leadership. I have to show that we need to move on in life, let bygones be bygones.

“I’m happy we have spoke as men and there are many good things we can do together in the future.

Pitso Mosimane and Robert Marawa reconcile.

“They say reconciliation can help everybody like me and you to move in a healthier way. So why not?

“Let’s be men and get issues out the way. Time heals.”

During the same interview with Marawa, Mosimane denied links to Kaizer Chiefs.

“To be honest, I am very close to the Motaung family (Chiefs owners), but we have not touched on that topic,” he said.

The beef between Marawa and Mosimane has now officially ended as the duo sat for more than two hours discussing football.
