Kaizer Chiefs star told he is not a part of plans, PSL rivals linked!

Kaizer Chiefs have a new technical management and they have decided that this player is not a part of their plans for the new season.

Kaizer Chiefs new technical team is taking shape.

However, this is not good news for one of Amakhosi’s fan favourites, Itumeleng Khune.

CHIEFS NEW TECHNICAL TEAM HAVE NO PLANS FOR KHUNE

Amakhosi legend, Khune was left behind when Chiefs jetted off for Turkey. Interestingly, he is the only player that was left behind who is fit. In fact, the new technical staff has decided that he does not form part of their plans for the up-and-coming 2024/25 PSL season.

“Itu remains determined to play and has communicated that to the club. However, it appears he’s not in the new technical team’s plans, and he’s also expressed a clear disinterest in coaching,” the insider stated on Phakaaati.

So, it is clear that Khune has no plans to retire yet. Moreover, the Bafana Bafana legend has no interest in transitioning into a coaching role. Meanwhile, Amakhosi does not want to extend his contract as a player.

Meaning, Khune is likely to leave Chiefs, as reported on The South African. Meanwhile, these PSL rivals are likely to sign Amakhosi’s last-standing legend.

NASREDDINE NABI’S ARRIVAL TO SET OFF PLAYER AND COACH EXITS

Prior to his arrival, Nabi’s technical team have already started preparations with the Soweto Giants.

Furthermore, two Chiefs coaches have left. Moreover, a third Amakhosi coach is heading out. Essentially, two of these men are set to be replaced by their new goalkeeper coach, Ilyes Mzoughi.

“The Mauritania national team goalkeepers’ coach looks set to replace Rainer Dinkelacker, who recently returned to his native Germany after his contract expired,” the report read on FarPost.

Meanwhile, EIGHT players and coaches are linked with likely exits under Nabi. Therefore, Nabi and his team will also make several signings in order to replace the players that have left. Additionally, the players that are heading out must also be replaced. Chiefs have identified a R200 million transfer target list featuring Percy Tau and several top Bafana Bafana stars and outgoing Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns players that could sign under Nabi.
