SIXTH player exit? Biggest departure yet likely!

Six could become an unlucky player for this Kaizer Chiefs player and his millions of fans.

Kaizer Chiefs have SEVEN player/coach exits. Additionally, Amakhosi have announced their coaching departures.

However, under Nasreddine Nabi these EIGHT players and coaches are likely to be heading out of Naturena. Interestingly, the latest likely exit is looking likely and it is set to be the biggest Chiefs departure yet.

CHIEFS INDICATIONS ARE CLEAR AS THEY LEAVE KHUNE AT HOME

Amakhosi legend, Itumeleng Khune has been left behind as Chiefs embark on their pre-season tour of Turkey in Europe, according to Unplayable on X.

Ironically, Khune is not injured. So, this is a clear indication from the club that he is not a part of their vision for next season. In fact, an insider has seemingly confirmed his likely exit.

“However, it appears he’s not in the new technical team’s plans, and he’s also expressed a clear disinterest in coaching,” an insider stated on Phakaaati.

Therefore, Khune is likely to become Chiefs SIXTH player departure. Meaning, he would become the biggest Amakhosi exit in recent memory. The long-standing Amakhosi legend is also the last standing legend at Chiefs. Meanwhile, Khune has already attracted interest from PSL rivals. Moreover, he is likely to move as he wants to continue playing.

“Itu remains determined to play and has communicated that to the club,” the source added on the same publication.

END OF AN ERA OF AMAKHOSI LEGENDS

Bernard Parker, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Eric Mathoho have all recently left Chiefs.

Now, Khune is the last legend still standing and playing at Chiefs. Unfortunately, all good (even great) things must come to an end. That certainly appears to be the case with Khune’s Chiefs career. Now, that’s not to say we won’t see him take up a coaching role in the future. However, he has no interest in this right now and he wants to keep on playing.
