Fee agreed for top Nasreddine Nabi attacking Kaizer Chiefs target!
Kaizer Chiefs target Oswin Appollis is finally set to leave Polokwane City, according to the latest reports!
Appollis has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs, including Chiefs ahead of the next season.
Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns as well Orlando Pirates are just three of the top teams that have been linked with Appollis. It was Amakhosi, however, who were the most rigorously rumoured to be interested. On Sunday, this publication reported that City have agreed a deal with an Algerian side for the player’s services. Now according to FARPost that club is MC Alger!
Polokwane agree fee with Alger
“Polokwane City FC have finally agreed to sell Oswin Appollis to Algerian giants MC Alger after protracted negotiations. The reigning Algerian champions are in pole position for the South African international, beating competition from top clubs across Africa and domestically for the Polokwane City star. The final step is for the two clubs to sign a transfer agreement. Thereafter, the player will have to agree to personal terms. The personal terms are expected to be a smooth process, considering the more challenging hurdle of convincing ‘Rise and Shine’ to let go of their star player has already been overcome. A routine medical will then follow.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer for Polokwane City, subsequently earning himself a place in the Bafana Bafana squad that finished third at the 2023 AFCON. Appollis was linked with clubs like Esperance, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Wydad Athletic Club and Zamalek.” Wrote the publication.
Chiefs miss out on yet another Nabi target!
This will come as a dagger to Nasreddine Nabi, as Appollis was one of the two players he wanted. The other was Elias Mokwana, who also snubbed Chiefs for a North African team. Amakhosi are finding it hard going to secure the services of attackers at the moment. Amakhosi fans, are you starting to be concerned with the amount of missed attacking targets?
