Club not willing to sell? Kaizer Chiefs to lose their TOP target

Fiston Mayele’s move to Kaizer Chiefs might not be happening according to the player’s agent Yasmin Mudele.

The Congolese striker scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 27 matches for his team Pyramids. Before his move to Egypt, the 30-year-old played for Young Africans under current Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Speaking to FARPost, Mayele’s agent Mudele said a move to Amakhosi was not on the cards for the Congolese dangerman.

“He’s an exceptional player, so there’s demand everywhere, not only with Chiefs,” Mudele told the publication.

“We’ve received several calls, and we have Nabi there, who’s our favourite coach. However, the situation is that the player has a contract, and Pyramids are not willing to release him.

Kaizer Chiefs might have to look elsewhere for a top striker

“As much as Mayele would love to play for Nabi, Nabi is one of our favourite coaches; we love him. He’s a nice person [but it’s impossible]… They worked really well together. But the reality is that he’s under contract,” she said.

According to Phakaaathi, Nabi has told the Kaizer Chiefs management that he wants Mayele on his team.

“Coach (Nasreddine) Nabi has made it clear to the Chiefs management that he wants Mayele and now Chiefs have sent an offer to Pyramids. They’re now waiting for Pyramids to accept or reject it,” a source told Phakaathi.

Kaizer Chiefs have already made five signings but are yet to buy a quality striker. The club lost out on Bafana Bafana striker Khanyisa Mayo to a North African side.

Where should Amakhosi go next for a new striker?
