Kaizer Chiefs player to leave because of foreign quota?
Kaizer Chiefs have welcomed Inacio Miguel to the club, meaning there will be a casualty.
Inacio arrives at Kaizer Chiefs
28-year-old Inacio Miguel is Amakhosi’s fifth signing this window, following on from Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Bongani Sam and Gaston Sirino. There’s been a distinctly defensive flavour to the club’s transfer dealings so far with two central defenders, a goalkeeper and a left-back drafted in along with playmaker Sirino.
Five foreign players are allowed
The league allows clubs to register a maximum of five foreign players. Currently, those five are Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edmilson Dove, Christian Saile, Edson Castillo and Fiacre Ntwari. In order to register Miguel, Chiefs must sell or loan out one of these five. Early indications from KickOff are that Edmilson Dove could be the man to make way. The experienced Mozambican star is still recovering from a lengthy injury layoff.
