BULLS GRANT SPRINGBOKS SPEEDSTER PERMISSION TO LEAVE

The Bulls have granted the winger permission to leave South Africa to join Japanese club Mitsubishi Dynaboars.

“The Vodacom Bulls have given Arendse the thumbs up to make a short-term move to Japanese club Mitsubishi Dynaboars to boost his salary,” according to Sunday’s Rapport newspaper.

However, he will not be leaving permanently.

The Bulls are willing to let him go on a short-term deal spanning five months.

Arendse is set to leave in December 2024 and return in May 2025.

“The 28-year-old will play in Japan’s League One from December until May and will return to Pretoria in time for the Vodacom URC playoffs. Arendse is still contracted with the Bulls until 2026,” the same publication added.

Moreover, Arendse is set to receive a salary increase which is one of the main reasons for the move.

Meanwhile, he joins a plethora of Springboks stars in Japan.

Currently, Malcolm Marx, Franco Mostert, Lood de Jager, Faf de Klerk, Damian de Allende and Jesse Kriel ply their trade in Japan.

This will see Arendse miss most of the 2024/25 URC campaign with the Bulls.
