Chidimma Adetshina wins Miss Universe Nigeria
23-year-old model and law student, Chidimma Adetshina has won the Miss Universe Nigeria competition.
This comes after she withdrew from Miss SA pageant due to a dispute over her citizenship status.
CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA WINS
The newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
TimesLIVE reports that the winner is set to receive ₦10m in cash (R115,752) and other prizes.
Adetshina wins the title from her predecessor, Ugochi Mitchel Ihezue, the former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2017 hailing from Imo State. Ihezue was the first woman to claim the prestigious beauty title.
South Africans and Nigerians took to social media on Saturday evening to congratulate Adetshina.
