‘Not shocked he fitted in’ Bucs legend on Kaizer Chiefs new man

Orlando Pirates legend Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi believes Kaizer Chiefs‘ new signing Gaston Sirino will succeed at Amakhosi if provided service.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan winger impressed in his first outing wearing Chiefs colours last weekend. He was one of the most influential players on the park when Amakhosi edged out Marumo Gallants 2-1 in their opening Betway Premiership match of the season.

Before joining the Glamour Boys, Sirino spent six years with Masandawana where he scored 41 goals and provided 44 assists. Ex-Pirates midfielder Vilakazi said he was not surprised that the South American hit the ground running at Naturena.

“If you look at the goals that Chiefs have scored, came from him so it tells you about his influence,” Vilakazi told iDiski TV.

“I was not shocked that he fitted in because I know he is a good player. Good players just need an opportunity to express themselves but my worry is one, the lack of support.

Sirino just needs opportunities at Kaizer Chiefs, says Tso

“If he is not going to get the support he’s going to be in the same situation as Castro, Billiat and Dolly?

“To me it looks like we are the ones killing them instead of helping them to help the team achieve things.

“They come to the team and get overloaded with everything because there is no one helping him in terms of carrying the load. I’m worried about him carrying the whole load,” Vilakazi added.

Kaizer Chiefs are again in action this coming week against AmaZulu.

How many goals will Sirino score this season?
