‘We haven’t finished’ Kaizer Chiefs coach vows to make more signings in January

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi says he is looking at January to make more signings.

The 59-year-old Tunisian has already brought in seven players since taking over in July. So far, most of his signings have featured and impressed in the two games played. Amakhosi defeated Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu in back-to-back Betway Premiership matches this month.

Kaizer Chiefs could very well look to bring in a new striker in January to strengthen their attacking department.

“I think we haven’t finished changing the squad, this is normal,” Nabi said as per The Citizen.

“For all decisions, the direction of my eyes is for the best for Chiefs. It is not to be friendly, not to be emotional. For that reason, moving the squad won’t stop window after window.

“Maybe for a player not at our level there will be another opportunity, they will be out,” he said.

Kaizer Chiefs to sign more players in January

“People were pushing to see a striker before the last window (closed), but the opportunities were very bad.

“In October we don’t play many games, and then there is November and December, and after that (in January) a new window will open, and we will have the opportunity to scout the world for the best players,” Nabi added.

Kaizer Chiefs could sign players such as Fiston Mayele when the January transfer window opens. If Nabi can manage the squad in the coming months, he might not actually be forced to buy any player.

How will Chiefs play under Nabi in the coming games?
