‘They will score 4 or 5 goals’ – Khanye predicts Sundowns v Chiefs match

Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Junior Khanye has predicted Mamelodi Sundowns to dominate Amakhosi on Saturday.

The two team battle it out at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Speaking to iDiski TV, the ex-footballer complimented Chiefs’new coach Nasreddine Nabi for brining the winning mentality back to the club. He however, predicted Chiefs to lose by at least four goals on Saturday.

The last time the two teams met was back in May when Masandawana thrashed Amakhosi 5-1. Khanye said if Chiefs are to win, they will need to take their chances.

“They can win if they get a set-piece, penalty or even a corner kick but Sundowns are a team that likes to keep the ball. I am not sure how they will concede those silly mistakes,” he said.

“I dont see them(Chiefs) winning this game, it’s going to be very difficult for them. They were dominated completely by AmaZulu in the second half but Usuthu’s poor decision making in the final thirds let them down,” he said.

Junior Khanye said Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi might need to bring back Khuliso Mudau and Teboho Mokoena for the Kaizer Chiefs game. The duo have missed the past four games for Masandawana.

“Benching those two players can go both ways. He is surviving now but he needs those players. Against Chiefs, he will need both Mudau and Mokoena in his team.”

When making a prediction, the former Chiefs winger said the Brazilians are likely to score more than four goals.

“Ribeiro and Iqraam Rayners will kill Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow. I doubted Rayners when he joined Downs but he proved me wrong, they found a position for him.

“I predict a heavy score, it’s going to be 4 or 5. Maybe Chiefs can score one goal, but Sundowns will score 4 or 5,” Junior Khanye said.
