Zara Tindall’s husband on royals
Mike Tindall, the husband of Zara Tindall, said that marrying into the royal family was really “easy” for him.
ZARA TINDALL’S HUSAND ON MARRYING INTO THE ROYAL FAMILY
Mike Tindall has revealed that marrying into the royal family has been smooth sailing for him. The former rugby star is married to Zara Tindall, the daughter of King Charles’ sister Princess Anne and Mark Phillips.
Mike described joining the royal family as “simple really” in an interview with The Telegraph to promote his upcoming book, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby – Unleashed, with James Haskell and Alex Payne.
“Believe it or not, marrying into the Royal family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really,” he wrote according to Daily Mail.
The book, set to release on 24 October, is co-written by the three podcasts hosts and documents their four year tenure on the show, reflecting on highs, lows, and memorable interviews with Royal family members.
MIKE TINDALL PRAISES MOTHER-IN-LAW PRINCESS ANNE
The former rugby star went on to praise his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, affectionately known as Princess Royal. He said that they often have conversations about sport.
“With Princess Anne, it’s the conversation we have about rugby at Gloucester, or about Scotland after every Six Nations game,” he wrote.
“A lot of the time, it will be about a player. She’ll say to me, ‘Should he not be doing this more?’ And I’ll think, ‘You’re actually not that far off,” he wrote.
“We were asking the same questions I had asked them before, but this time they were giving the answers to the public, rather than just to me,” he wrote.
This is in contrast to the experience Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle said she had marrying into the royal family. Meghan reportedly had a “tense” relationship with the royal family and troubled relationship with her sister-in-law, Princess Kate, which she opened up about in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In the bombshell interview, Meghan spoke about struggling with her mental health and concerns surrounding the colour of her son – Prince Archie’s skin before he was born.
This comes after Prince Harry’s recent visit to South Africa.
