ACSA Resolves Fuel Issues at OR Tambo Airport, Ending Flight Delays
Johannesburg – The issue with fuel pumping, caused by a malfunctioning valve that led to some flights being grounded at OR Tambo International Airport on Monday, has been resolved.
The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) announced on Monday evening that the fuel system is now “fully operational.”
Earlier that day, ACSA reported challenges in refueling, resulting in the grounding of several flights.

“Fuel trucks are currently on their way to the apron, and regular operations have resumed,” ACSA stated.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period and appreciate your patience and understanding.
“For passengers who are still facing delays, we kindly recommend contacting your respective airlines for further assistance.
“Thank you for your cooperation as we work to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience.”
