Ronwen Williams dazzles at the 2024 CAF Awards
Ronwen Williams, South Africa’s standout goalkeeper, was the sole double winner at the prestigious 2024 CAF Awards held in Marrakech, Morocco.
He took home both the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year and the Men’s Interclub Player of the Year accolades.

Williams’ remarkable penalty saves during the CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast this past year have solidified his status in football history.

The evening’s other prominent honorees included Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Zambia’s Barbra Banda.
Lookman, who impressed with Atalanta and Nigeria’s Super Eagles, was awarded CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
Banda, recognized as the Women’s Player of the Year, excelled in the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League in the United States, leading Orlando Pride to the NWSL Shield and Championship title.

Importantly, she netted a hat-trick for Zambia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking her third hat-trick in Olympic football history.
