BRAZILIAN ROSE (7.15 Newcastle, nap)
She has been performing exceptionally well under the guidance of Rebecca Menzies, securing her third consecutive victory with ease last Friday. She has built a solid connection with today’s jockey, Kaiya Fraser, who can effectively utilize his 3lb allowance. Her most recent win was in an apprentices’ race by over two lengths, and she runs today just 1lb higher. The step up to seven furlongs presents no challenges, and a fourth win is very much achievable.
AYIKO (1.00 Ayr, nb)
Came very close in a significantly tougher race at Fairyhouse last month. That was his first attempt at three miles, and he showed no signs of difficulty completing the distance. He won his bumper here, demonstrating he can navigate the track, and there’s still a lot more potential to explore.
PENELOPE VALENTINE (6.45 Newcastle, treble)
She has narrowly missed out on both her all-weather races with two close seconds at Southwell. This additional furlong seems like a sensible adjustment, and she appears ready to claim her first victory.
ACHILLE DES ROCS (3.25 Leicester)
Completing the Lucky 15. After a promising first outing at Market Rasen, he secured a win at Southwell and then followed with a solid performance at Catterick last time out. A 4lb increase for that effort seems justified, and this distance is perfect. He looks capable of stepping up again.
