Spurs managed to take an early lead in the match, with Richarlison scoring a close-range goal in the 33rd minute.

However, just five minutes into the second half, Ange Postecoglou’s squad found themselves behind.

Jamie Vardy equalized, and soon after, Bilal El Khannouss secured the winning goal.

This defeat marked the first time since November 1987 against Liverpool that Spurs conceded two goals within the first five minutes of the second half in a Premier League match.

The Foxes came into the match as heavy underdogs, having faced seven straight losses in the Premier League leading up to this game.

This result signifies the first time Spurs have lost to a team on such a losing streak since 1912, an incredible 113 years ago.

Interestingly, the last such defeat was also to an East Midlands club, as Notts County defeated them back then.

Currently, Tottenham stands at 15th in the league table, sitting just eight points above the relegation zone.

They have now gone seven league matches without a win, recording seven losses and just one draw.

This marks their longest winless streak in the Premier League since the nine-game drought between May and October 2008.
