Mpumalanga Man Arrested on Suspicion of Killing 17-Month-Old Daughter
A 22-year-old father was taken into custody in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, on Wednesday under suspicion of murdering his 17-month-old daughter. He is scheduled to appear in the Ermelo Magistrates’ Court on Thursday to address charges connected to the toddler’s death.

The events transpired on December 30, 2024, when the father presented the unresponsive child at a hospital during the early morning hours, asserting that she had fallen off a bed.

Upon examination, medical personnel discovered that the toddler had already died. Alarmingly, the child showed multiple bruises on her body along with indications of strangulation, which raised significant concerns.

Hospital Staff Notify Authorities
