Jamie Sterry Overcomes Frightening Head Injury, Reveals Golf-Ball-Sized Lump on Face During FA Cup Match
JAMIE STERRY continued to play against Crystal Palace despite enduring a FRIGHTENING head injury.
The Doncaster Rovers athlete remained on the pitch during the FA Cup fourth-round encounter.
Sterry, 29, started the match as a right-back but had to depart in the late minutes.
The defender was seen leaving the field with a golf-ball-sized swelling on his forehead.
He looked relatively unfazed as he exited, appearing to be in good spirits.
Sterry was replaced by Tom Nixon, who stepped in as he received treatment for the bump.
This season, he has been a consistent presence in Grant McCann’s squad, making 27 appearances in League Two.
The former Newcastle player has had notable performances, contributing six assists to the team.
He was part of the Newcastle team that achieved promotion to the Premier League in 2017.
Unfortunately, Doncaster couldn’t pull off an upset, as Palace secured a 2-0 win.
