Johannesburg – The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) has unveiled a train service for the rugby clash between the Emirates Lions and DHL Stormers at the Emirates Airline Park-Ellis Park Stadium.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, 15 February 2025.
According to PRASA, on this day, train services will operate every 15 minutes from Park Station to the stadium starting at 11:00 am.
The final Metrorail train leaving Ellis Park will depart at 18:45.
“Rugby enthusiasts are encouraged to utilize public transport, e-hailing services, or the Gautrain to reach Park Station,” stated PRASA.
The last Gautrain train will leave Park Station at 20:30.
PRASA cautioned that parking spaces at Park Station will be limited for those opting to drive their own vehicles.
The three-minute trip to and from the Emirates Airline Park will cost R20 for a round trip and tickets can be conveniently purchased online via ticketpro.
Gautrain tickets should be acquired separately from Gautrain services. PRASA remains dedicated to offering safe, reliable, and efficient transportation solutions for all South Africans.
