A 17-year-old Grade 10 student from Ethekwini, KZN, concocted a distressing story of rape and kidnapping.

The girl’s mother reached out to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for help after her daughter alleged she was kidnapped and raped.
A Fabricated Narrative Unveiled
However, her account began to fall apart when a female Reaction Officer interviewed her and discovered that the events she described were exaggerated and untrue.

She asserted that while on her way to school, a white vehicle with multiple male passengers stopped and allegedly forced her into the trunk of the car.

She recounted being taken to an undisclosed location, being made to drink a glass of juice believed to be drugged, and claimed she was raped.
When given a chance to direct officers to the site where one suspect supposedly drowned, the teenager admitted that the incident was fabricated.
