Co-founders of Capital Live SA FM, Aserie Ndlovu and Zodwa Mdhluli, are still missing
Johannesburg – Aserie Ndlovu, the founder of Capital Live SA FM, and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, remain unaccounted for nearly a month after their mysterious disappearance.
The pair were last seen on 18 February 2025 at different locations.
Ndlovu, a member of the Press Club, was spotted leaving Denlyn Mall in Mamelodi, dressed in blue jeans, a blue and white long-sleeve shirt, and Nike sneakers.
Mdhluli was last seen at their residence in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga.
Capital Live SA FM operates from Denlyn Mall.
This week, the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) expressed its solidarity with the community media sector and the National Press Club in the ongoing search for Ndlovu and Mdhluli.
MDDA CEO Shoeshoe Qhu emphasized the importance of community unity in efforts to ensure the safe return of the couple.
“We must raise awareness to assist the authorities in finding our colleague and his partner,” Qhu stated.
“We call on the community media to disseminate information about this case, as every moment counts.”
Speculation surrounds the possibility that the couple may have been targeted by extortionists.
Elijah Mhlanga, chairperson of the African Media and Communicators Forum, was recently quoted expressing concern over the circumstances of their disappearance, including a reported burglary at their home, suggesting potential foul play.
“We are growing increasingly worried about the couple’s safety,” Mhlanga added.
Mhlanga urged community members and law enforcement to assist in any capacity to help locate the missing couple.
“Each day without news is troubling,” he remarked.
“People don’t simply disappear without a trace. Someone must have seen or heard something on that day.”
Antoinette Slabbert, acting chairperson of the National Press Club, has voiced her concerns for the missing couple and urged law enforcement agencies to aid in their search.
The police are requesting anyone with information regarding Aserie Ndlovu and Zodwa Mdhluli to reach out to Detective Sergeant Lekganyane at Mamelodi West SAPS at 067 916 8968.
