According to authorities, the victim was last seen by her family around 05:45 on Friday, March 14, 2025, as she left for school to catch a bus.

The police received a report about an inquest at Extension 16 in Kanyamazane on the evening of Saturday, March 15, 2025, at around 17:30.
Police Investigation
Upon their arrival, officers encountered the suspect, who initially posed as a worried bystander.
He guided the police to a room where the body of the young girl was discovered.

In a shocking discovery, the victim was still in her school uniform, with a rope around her neck and another suspended from the ceiling.
The suspect claimed the room was his brother’s and insisted he had no knowledge of the girl’s death.
