NEWCASTLE cult hero Joelinton came to the aid of his former boss after he collapsed in a Subway.
Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo still refers to the Brazilian as his ‘angel’.
Matarazzo was Joelinton’s assistant manager during the midfielder’s tenure in Germany with Hoffenheim.
Recounting the alarming incident, Matarazzo said: “I was waiting in line and started feeling unwell.
“I tried to grab a quick drink from the Coca-Cola machine.
“Suddenly, I felt faint and collapsed.
“When I regained consciousness, I saw Joelinton! ‘Rino, Rino, are you okay?’
“He felt like a small, no, a big, angel – Joelinton, what are you doing here?”
