Bitget Breaks Records as the First Cryptocurrency Company to Sponsor a Driver in the 2025 Porsche Cup Brazil

Bitget has officially become the sponsor for professional driver Flávio Sampaio for the upcoming 2025 Porsche Cup Brasil. The logo of the exchange will be prominently displayed on a Porsche racing car.

As stated in a press release, Bitget is set to make history by being the first cryptocurrency exchange to sponsor the Porsche Cup Brasil 2025. Known as the largest Grand Touring category in Latin America, the Porsche Cup Brasil 2025 will commence its season with the opening race in April 2025.

In this collaboration, Sampaio’s assigned vehicle — the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup — will showcase the signature black and cyan blue colors of the crypto exchange platform. With a powerful 510CV engine, the car’s impressive performance mirrors the firm’s dedication to providing efficiency.

Professional driver Flávio Sampaio shared his enthusiasm regarding Bitget’s sponsorship for this season’s race. He anticipates that this partnership will draw more motorsport fans into the realm of cryptocurrency.

“The demographics of sports fans often share similarities with those of crypto investors. I believe we can forge an engaging connection between these two spheres,” remarked Sampaio.

In the last 24 hours, BGB (BGB) has increased by over 2%, reaching a high of $5.09. Over the past week, the token has risen by 8.14%. Concurrently, its daily trading volume has surged by 34.4%, approaching $148 million, signaling a boost in market activity.

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, expressed hopes that this partnership will foster increased cryptocurrency adoption in the region, particularly as the tournament gathers a substantial audience of Brazilian motorsport fans and sports aficionados.

“Partnering with a professional in motorsport for a league renowned for its precision and competitiveness enables us to connect with an audience that appreciates both technological innovation and strategic risk-taking,” Chen stated.

Bitget regards Brazil as a particularly promising market, especially given the significant surge in crypto adoption the country has witnessed in recent years. According to Chainalysis data, Brazil became the second-largest country in Latin America for cryptocurrency transaction value in 2024, surpassed only by Argentina.

Recently, Brazil introduced legislation allowing employees to request up to 50% of their salaries to be paid in cryptocurrency. This landmark bill also requires employers to provide educational resources about virtual assets to their employees, enhancing their understanding of the associated risks and price volatility linked to cryptocurrencies.
