FINE INTERVIEW (3.40 Doncaster, nap)
James Doyle’s ride had a fantastic season last year, winning a Ffos Las maiden before showcasing his talent at the handicap level in Pontefract and here last October. He shines at this distance, and a bit of give in the ground suits him perfectly. The handicapper has raised him slightly, but there’s still room for improvement, and he has the potential to rise to Listed-class by the end of the season.
LOVERDOSE (5.05 Ascot, nb)
Has been consistently strong this year and came very close again at Newbury last time. He thrives in this intermediate distance, and a 3lb increase in weight seems fair. He’s a true competitor who will provide a tough challenge.
CREDO (4.30 Ascot, treble)
Has built a strong partnership with Harry Cobden. They’ve won two of their last three races together, including their latest at Carlisle. She was certainly worth more than the official winning margin of just under two lengths and has sufficient stamina for this distance.
