A 58-year-old teacher is evading law enforcement following allegations of raping a 13-year-old student.
The victim is a primary school student located in the Capricorn district of Limpopo.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Thakeng, the provincial police spokesperson, another teacher took the learner to her mother, where she disclosed the incident on Thursday.
Alleged Rape Incident Involving Teacher and Ongoing Police Investigation
Initial investigations suggest that the girl was reportedly assaulted multiple times from November 2024 through to March 7, 2025.

A rape case has been formally registered, and police are actively pursuing the suspect.
As of now, the teacher’s location remains unknown; he was reported to be in Hammanskraal, Pretoria, before he turned off his phone.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Police Commissioner, has called on the public to help locate the suspect.
