Partnership between Cassava Technologies and Microsoft to Create Job Opportunities for Youth in South Africa’s Renewable Energy Industry
Johannesburg – In a significant partnership, Pan-African technology firm Cassava Technologies (www.CassavaTechnologies.com) has joined forces with Microsoft to launch a community engagement initiative aimed at South Africa.
This initiative will see the two organizations set up training hubs within local communities, aimed at creating new job opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
By focusing on the development of renewable energy skills, energy efficiency, and community microgrids, this project aims to empower the youth to take charge of the shift towards clean energy.
Activities will primarily be centered in Johannesburg and Cape Town, where both Cassava and Microsoft have operations.
The training hubs established under this project will be essential in equipping Africa’s youth and women with the necessary skills to excel in the renewable energy sector, ensuring that the benefits of the energy transition are accessible to all.
Cassava Technologies will play a pivotal role in this collaboration, leveraging its renewable energy and co-location expertise.
Their local knowledge in renewable energy will guarantee that the initiative provides measurable benefits linked to clean energy jobs and projects within the participating communities.
