Kelly Smith Found Guilty of Kidnapping and Trafficking Her 6-Year-Old Daughter, Joshlin
Cape Town – Kelly Smith, mother of the missing child Joshlin Smit, along with her co-defendants, has been convicted of kidnapping and trafficking the then-six-year-old girl.
Joshlin, who has two siblings, was reported missing on February 19, 2024.
The Western Cape High Court has ruled that the prosecution presented sufficient evidence to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that Smith, her boyfriend Jacquen Appollis, and Steveno van Rhyn sold Joshlin.
