This is the third consecutive month of decreasing fuel prices.
In a statement released late Friday, the department noted that the average Brent Crude oil price dropped from $71.04 to $66.40 during the review period.
“The price decline is attributed to tariff and trade disputes instigated by the United States, raising worries about a global economic downturn and the possibility of reduced demand for crude oil, in addition to oversupply from non-Opec nations and anticipated production increases by Opec+ members.”
