Inter triumphed over Barcelona with a thrilling 4-3 victory, narrowly avoiding elimination thanks to Raphinha’s last-minute goal in the 87th minute, which nearly granted Barcelona a spot in Munich after the first leg concluded in a 3-3 draw.

However, Francesco Acerbi’s equalizer in the third minute of stoppage time extended the match into extra time.

Frattesi then seized the moment in the 99th minute, securing a spot for Simone Inzaghi’s squad in their second Champions League final within three years.

Previously, they faced Manchester City in 2023, suffering a narrow defeat with a goal from Rodri.

During his post-match interview with CBS, Frattesi had pundits Thierry Henry, Micah Richards, and Jamie Carragher in stitches with his remarks.

Henry highly commended the midfielder, stating: “I didn’t see a man that was nervous; I observed a guy who was calm and composed to finish in that moment, in that tie, in that match.”

“What was going through your mind at that moment?” the former Arsenal star inquired from CBS’ London studio.

In response, the match-winner Frattesi, speaking from pitchside at the San Siro, humorously replied: “I don’t know.

“Maybe I thought, ‘If I don’t score, I’m f***ed!’”

This quip had the Italian chuckling and the CBS pundits bursting into laughter.

Presenter Kate Scott nervously glanced at the production crew behind the camera in response to Frattesi’s slip.

Meanwhile, Henry held his head in his hands on the desk to stifle his laughter.

Inter’s path to the final was no walk in the park, despite returning to the San Siro with a lead.

The hosts squandered a two-goal advantage built by strikes from Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo leveled the score before former Leeds United winger Raphinha’s effort sent the match into extra time.

Ultimately, it was Frattesi’s moment of glory, skillfully placing a shot into the far corner, leaving Wojciech Szczesny stranded in goal for Barca.
