Before his premature passing, Brooks-Meade experienced a stroke and a brain hemorrhage just a month prior.
He was part of Fulham’s youth academy, often playing for the reserve team, but never made a first-team debut.
A loan to AFC Wimbledon in 2007 came before a nearly completed transfer to Bournemouth after he was released by Fulham.
Ultimately, he found success in Cyprus, playing for seven different clubs during his stay there.
Brooks-Meade also represented the Montserrat national team, earning 23 caps.
During his international career, he developed a close friendship with team captain Lyle Taylor, a striker for Colchester.
Taylor shared with the Daily Mail: “When it’s someone your age with whom you’ve shared numerous years and witnessed their growth as both a player and a person, it resonates deeply.
“It might sound cliché, but Corrin was truly a leader. He was steadfast. Honestly, he was likely the best of us.”
“He was an incredible individual, and we all cherished our time with him.”
Fans have expressed their grief through comments like: “So sad. My thoughts are with the family.”
Another remarked: “Horrible news. He was a fantastic player for us; I am completely shocked by this.”
One additional supporter noted, “Rest in peace, Corrin. It’s devastating to hear of your passing, my friend.”
Numerous supporters and former teammates have contributed to a GoFundMe page established in his honor.
Even after retiring from club football in 2021, Brooks-Meade continued to play for Montserrat until last year.
After hanging up his boots, he shifted his focus to an Afro-Caribbean food business he started in Cyprus.
His uncle, Raphael Meade, played for Arsenal from 1981 to 1985.
