Garnacho Sets Sights on Exceeding Ronaldo’s Record

Alejandro Garnacho has conveyed his commitment to Manchester United and is close to eclipsing one of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo’s records, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.

The Argentine has downplayed the comparisons with Ronaldo as he nears a significant milestone achieved by the Portuguese star.

Nonetheless, he recognizes that such comparisons are likely to persist as long as he wears the United jersey. After all, it was Ronaldo who played a pivotal role in assisting Garnacho’s first goal for the Red Devils back in November 2022.

When the six-time Ballon d’Or winner departed from Old Trafford for the final time shortly thereafter, the Stretford End promptly began to chant his song for Garnacho. Yet, internally, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
