Police Search for Sello ‘Skhalo’ Uoane and Thato Madisha in Journalist and Partner Murder Investigation
KwaMhlanga – The South African Police Service (SAPS) is calling on Sello “Skhalo” Uoane and Thato David Madisha to surrender at the nearest police station.
Sello Uoane, who has been convicted of rape, is currently on parole.
“The two are wanted suspects in the murder investigation of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli,” stated SAPS national spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, on Saturday, (10 May 2025).
Aserie and Mdhluli were reported missing on 28 February 2025.
After months of searching, their bodies were found in an advanced state of decomposition in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, on the morning of Thursday, (8 May 2025).
The site of the remains was pinpointed by one of the suspects already arrested in connection with the murders.

“Police believe the pair may have been involved or have information pertaining to the alleged kidnapping and murder of the couple,” remarked Brigadier Mathe.
“Tracking teams are actively pursuing the two suspects, and they are urged to voluntarily present themselves.”
