CIPS Africa 2025 Awards for Procurement and Supply Chain Excellence

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Africa Excellence in Procurement & Supply Awards 2025 are back, bigger and more impactful than ever.

This year’s program introduces 16 award categories open for nominations, celebrating procurement professionals who are leading in various sectors, industries, and countries. From ethical leadership and inclusive development to public impact and social value, these awards recognize those leveraging procurement as a positive force in Africa.

Recognition drives excellence. Whether you’re acknowledging a colleague, a project team, or yourself, nominations elevate the profile of procurement and showcase its vital contributions to society and business. Let’s honor those advancing the procurement profession, from grassroots teams to executive leaders.

Five spotlight categories

Leader of the Year
This category honors an outstanding individual who demonstrates strategic leadership, ethical impact, and real change. Acknowledge someone who inspires teams, transforms supply chains, and sets a benchmark for procurement leadership in Africa.

Public Procurement Project of the Year
This award recognizes a public sector initiative that has delivered exceptional value, transparency, or improved service delivery. Celebrate procurement that transforms lives, fosters development, and builds public confidence.

Procurement Team of the Year – Small Organisation
This category celebrates high-achieving teams (fewer than 20 members) that deliver extraordinary results in procurement outcomes. Highlight agile teams that prove significant achievements don’t require large numbers—just effective strategy and skill.

Outstanding People Development Programme
This award showcases organizations dedicated to capacity building through training, mentorship, and upskilling. Shine a light on those who cultivate talent, nurture careers, and enrich the profession from within.

Best Initiative to Deliver Social Value Through Procurement
This award acknowledges initiatives that use procurement to foster community impact, equity, or sustainability. Applaud purpose-driven procurement that benefits society beyond financial gain.

All 16 categories are now accepting nominations.

The winners will be announced at the prestigious gala dinner on 7 August 2025 at The Houghton Hotel, Johannesburg, during the CIPS Africa Connect & Engage Conference.
