Chiefs Confirm Mdantsane’s Departure – Sportswire

Kaizer Chiefs has announced the immediate exit of midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane, whose contract is due to expire this month.

Mdantsane joined the Chiefs at the beginning of the 2023/24 season from Cape Town City, but he found it challenging to make a significant impact, appearing in only 16 matches and netting just two goals.

Due to his limited playing time, Chiefs opted to loan him to Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal last season.

Regrettably, his tenure at Richards Bay was also short-lived, with only three appearances. As his contract approaches its conclusion in June, it became evident that he had no future with the Soweto side.

“Kaizer Chiefs and midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane have mutually agreed to part ways,” the club announced. “The 30-year-old player joined Amakhosi from Cape Town City at the start of the 2023/24 season.

“Last season, to gain more playing time after recovering from injury, he spent the latter part of the season on loan at Richards Bay FC. During his time with Chiefs, Mdantsane made 16 appearances across all competitions. We wish Mdu all the best in his future endeavors!”

Mdantsane’s departure comes on the heels of several other exits from Chiefs, including Edmilson Dove, Njabulo Blom, Ranga Chivaviro, and Sabelo Radebe.
