Aidan O’Brien Makes Unexpected Move by Withdrawing Royal Ascot Champion from £500,000 Group 1 Amid Major Stable Changes
AIDAN O’BRIEN has made the surprising decision to withdraw a Royal Ascot winner known for his impressive speed from a £500,000 race.
The Ballydoyle trainer has canceled Trinity College’s planned participation in the German Derby on Sunday following his triumph in the Hampton Court Stakes.

Trinity College’s fourth-place finish in the French Derby allows him to enter the Group 1 race once won by last year’s world record-holding jumps horse, Palladium.
His success at Ascot has made him the favorite with betting companies.
However, just 48 hours after his entry into the race, O’Brien opted to withdraw Trinity College.
This decision coincides with O’Brien’s plan to supplement The Lion In Winter for a prestigious appearance in the Prix Jean Prat on Sunday.
The former Derby favorite, now at 25-1 for the City Of York stakes, has also been entered for a 7f race, where he may face Juddmonte’s Cosmic Year and Godolphin’s Dewhurst winner, Shadow Of Light.
