Ex-Richards Bay Striker Secures New Club Deal
Khuda Muyaba, the former striker for Richards Bay and Polokwane City, has officially joined Scottland FC, a newcomer in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The Malawian center forward became a free agent after leaving Venda FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, where he signed a short-term contract during the January transfer window.
Insider reports indicate that Muyaba, who was previously rumored to join Zim PSL side Manica Diamonds, has secured a two-year contract with Scottland FC, keeping him with the ambitious club until July 2027.
In South Africa, the 31-year-old is notably recognized for his legal disputes with Rise and Shine, involving FIFA and centered around contract breaches due to unpaid wages, which ultimately resulted in a transfer ban for the Limpopo-based team.
Similar to his tenure at Venda FC, Muyaba’s stay with the Natal Rich Boys was brief, amounting to just six months, during which he netted only one goal in 14 appearances.
At Scottland FC, the adaptable player will collaborate with former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, and ex-Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United forward Terrence Dzvukamanja, who was recently announced as a new signing.
The affluent club is strengthening its lineup with vital attacking options, having faced challenges in converting opportunities into goals, despite having a roster of notable players. Billiat had an outstanding 2024/25 season, scoring 13 goals and assisting on 11, but has only managed to score once this season.
Currently, Scottland FC is positioned fifth in the league, amassing 28 points from 17 matches, with a game in hand. Established in 2023, the Harare-based club has quickly made its mark in Zimbabwean football.
