Queen’s Park Rangers Unveils Striking New Kit Honoring Club Heritage with Celtic-Inspired Green and White Hoops

Despite the name containing “Rangers,” the London club Queen’s Park Rangers once donned Celtic-style green and white Hoops.

A century has passed since QPR last donned the green and white hoops, making this the perfect occasion to reintroduce them via their latest third kit.
The club announced: “The R’s will kick off the season with flair, as the iconic green and white hoops return—a homage to our heritage, revitalized for modern times.
“A jersey that links our proud history with our aspirations for the future.”
Club historian Chris Guy remarked: “This design represents a significant moment in honoring our club’s history.
The period from 1892 to 1926, when these colors were worn, constitutes a crucial chapter in our proud story.”
QPR manager Julian Stephan leads a team that includes former Celtic star Karamoko Dembele and Liam Morrison.
Recently, they completed the signing of Kwame Poku, outplaying Rangers for his signature, and talented Moroccan midfielder Ilias Chair also shines.
When asked about his decision to choose QPR over Russell Martin’s team, Poku stated: “Conversations with the manager and everyone involved suggested that the project they’re developing is genuinely thrilling for me, and I plan to help elevate QPR to the next level.”
