Johannesburg – Nigerian genre-blending artist Swayvee is preparing for his highly anticipated debut in South Africa from 16 to 22 August, driven by the incredible success of his hit single US.
The song has captivated the music landscape, maintaining its dominance on streaming platforms in both original and remix formats, cementing Swayvee’s status as one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary African music.
Since its launch on 20 March, the original version of US has amassed an impressive 9.9 million streams across major platforms, with 3.7 million on Spotify, 933,000 on Apple Music, 3.17 million on Audiomack, 1.4 million on Boomplay, and 685,000 on YouTube.
A month later, the remix dropped on 20 April, generating even more momentum and contributing an additional 4.6 million streams—1.18 million on Spotify, 409,000 on Apple Music, 226,000 on Audiomack, 299,000 on Boomplay, and over 2.5 million combined views on YouTube audio and visualizer uploads.
In total, both versions have surpassed a remarkable 14.5 million streams worldwide.

Ezekiel Swayzee Georgewill, known by his stage name Swayvee, is a genre-defying Nigerian artist born on March 17, 2000, in Bariga, Lagos, and raised in Port Harcourt.
His journey began in street rap battles under the name Fatal Emcee, before transforming into the multifaceted artist he is today.
The name Swayvee—inspired by Tory Lanez’s concept of “Swavey,” which merges rap and melody—embodies the fluidity of his sound.
He embarked on his professional music career in 2018 with Etins Records, drawing inspiration from artists such as Mr. Eazi, Runtown, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Lanez.
After building a dedicated fanbase through Audiomack-exclusive freestyles in 2020, Swayvee gained significant attention with his debut single DMS and the collaborative track Wild alongside labelmate Yarden. He also founded Weirdsid3, a creative collective and agency inspired by themes of astronomy, spirituality, and magic.
