FA Investigates Crystal Palace Fans’ Marinakis Banner, Labeled ‘Xenophobic’ by Nottingham Forest
The FA is currently looking into a banner displayed by Crystal Palace supporters that shows Evangelos Marinakis with a weapon aimed at Morgan Gibbs-White’s head.
This banner was revealed in the Lower Holmesdale Stand, home to the Holmesdale Fanatics supporters group, during the intense 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park between both teams on Sunday.

The FA is considering possible disciplinary actions due to its firm policies against banners that feature inappropriate language, political content, or offensive messages.
This occurrence may escalate tensions between the two clubs, especially after Palace was barred from the Europa League over the summer for breaching UEFA’s multi-club ownership regulations, allowing Forest to take their place.
Palace chairman Steve Parish labeled the decision as “the greatest injustice in football history.”
Forest is reportedly upset that Palace failed to take more decisive actions to prevent the display of the banner, which they perceive as xenophobic.
The club argues that Palace officials, including Parish, have not done enough to openly condemn the banner.
Chants of “f*** Uefa and f*** Marinakis” were notably heard throughout the match, which included goals from Ismaila Sarr and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
SunSport has chosen not to publish the banner.
Meanwhile, questions arise regarding Nuno Espirito Santo’s future as Nottingham Forest manager amid reports of tension with Marinakis.
SunSport has reported that names such as Ange Postecoglou, Jose Mourinho, and Brendan Rodgers are being contemplated for the managerial position.
Nuno has not ruled out the possibility of departing before the transfer deadline.
