The family of 30-year-old Scelo Mbona from Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal, is urgently requesting assistance from the public regarding his mysterious disappearance. Mbona, described as a tall, light-skinned man with black eyes, has been missing since mid-August 2025.

He was last seen leaving his home in Empangeni on the morning of June 27, 2025, around 07:00, telling family that he was going to Verulam to look for job opportunities.

According to his family, Mbona arrived in Verulam safely and informed them that he was engaged in job hunting.

The final contact from him was on August 19, 2025, when he expressed that he was still unemployed and living with another person; however, the family does not have details about this individual.
