Binance Aims at Institutional Clients with Improved Trade Execution Speed and External Liquidity Options

In a move to better accommodate large and institutional clients, Binance has rolled out improvements to its OTC liquidity.
Summary
- Binance has enhanced its OTC liquidity framework.
- The platform will obtain real-time pricing from multiple providers.
- Traders will have access to two separate execution models.
Binance is committed to addressing the demands of institutional and high-net-worth investors. On August 28, the cryptocurrency exchange introduced an upgraded trade execution service. This new framework consolidates OTC liquidity and provides different execution models to reduce slippage for substantial transactions.
Importantly, Binance will collect real-time pricing from external liquidity providers, including market makers, instead of relying exclusively on its internal pools. This advancement offers traders enhanced liquidity, thus minimizing slippage and narrowing spreads.
The exchange will also unveil two execution options: one allows for instant OTC settlement in as little as 15 minutes, while the other lets users choose custom execution based on Binance’s algorithms.
“Clients who prioritize pricing and speed for larger trades will find value in our upgraded OTC service. Those seeking tailored execution can trust us to manage the process efficiently. By customizing solutions for diverse segments, we help sophisticated clients—from high-net-worth individuals and family offices to larger institutions—in enhancing their crypto experience,” expressed Catherine Chen, Head of VIP & Institutional at Binance.
Binance’s institutional client base increases by 20%
Binance reports a 21% increase in VIP users and a 20% rise in institutional users in the first half of 2025, compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Trading volumes for both categories rose by 10% and 12%, respectively.
“We are bolstering our execution capabilities alongside our other services to ensure we are well-prepared to meet the growing demand from institutional clients for crypto exposure,” stated Catherine Chen from Binance.
