ANC Selects New Leadership Team for Waterberg Region

Waterberg – The African National Congress (ANC) has announced its new Top Five leadership team for the Waterberg region in Limpopo.

The ANC Waterberg Region has introduced a new leadership group, “elected through a democratic process.”

The officials chosen at the recent Waterberg Region Conference are:

• Chairperson: Moloko Jack Maeko (191 votes)
• Deputy Chairperson: Thulani Ngoako Taueatsoala (192 votes)
• Regional Secretary: Rufus Mahoro (194 votes)
• Deputy Regional Secretary: Andries Lekalakala (187 votes)
• Treasurer: Elsie Ndhlovu (189 votes)

“Congratulations to the New Leadership,” the ANC noted in a brief announcement made on Monday, 1 September 2025.

“We wish them all the best in their new roles and look forward to the positive changes they will bring to the region.”

Before the elections, Electoral Committee Chairperson Simon Mathe disbanded the Regional Task Team.

The branch nominations and nomination process were live-streamed on the ANC Waterberg Region’s Facebook page during the ANC’s 10th Regional Conference in Waterberg.
